A SONG FOR HEALING ON A NIGHT FOR HEALING: FAMILIES REMEMBERED, HONORED IN POIGNANTLY-PENNED “DANDELIONS” BY SINGER/SONGWRITER ANNIE BOSKO
On March 27, 2023, Annie Bosko was just settling into a co-write session on Music Row when she heard the tragic news of the Covenant School shooting in Nashville, just a few short miles away. In disbelief, yet through an attempt to process the heaviness, Bosko and Danny Myrick put pen to paper. The heart-healing
“Dandelions” poured out almost divinely and is now available in hope of inspiring further healing.
Stone Country Records will be donating all proceeds from the song to ACM Lifting Lives to support mental health services for Covenant School families, faculty and staff.
“I truly believe ‘Dandelions’ was divinely orchestrated, meant to serve a purpose,” shares Bosko. “Our hope is it brings peace and healing to those who are dealing with loss. Bosko first debuted the song at a gathering for some of the school’s families earlier this year where she saw firsthand the healing power of music. With students and friends of lost loved ones surrounding her and joining in on the chorus, it was that coming together that inspired her to share it wider.
The dandelion captures the essence of a lifetime of wishes, and with that in mind, Bosko provides a powerful image of hope:
